Whether it’s dining alongside exotic animals, taking in the dramatic ocean views in La Jolla or sampling slow food creations from top local chefs, the region’s varied culinary options add to an authentic San Diego North experience.
While it’s no secret that San Diego North is home to an eclectic mix of galleries, artists and museums, many of its most distinct and unusual collections can be found in unconventional outdoor locations throughout the region.

The San Diego North Convention & Visitors Bureau has added industry veterans Jim Tolbert and Wahid Razaqi to its team, and partnered with Washington, D.C. marketing firm JSP Marketing. Bringing over 30 years of combined hospitality experience to the Bureau, National Sales Managers Razaqi and Tolbert will be responsible for pursuing targeted vertical niche markets to capture new group business for the San Diego North region.
Visitors can experience activities that encompass health and wellness components characteristic of the San Diego North region, encourage healthy lifestyle choices and promote relaxation for a complete wellness getaway.
The San Diego North Convention & Visitors Bureau is launching "Meet Here. Make a Difference.", a national group sales program designed to give meeting planners a social responsibility incentive to book conferences and sporting events in the San Diego North region.

The San Diego North Convention and Visitors Bureau is looking for San Diego North travel stories from recent visitors to feature in the Bureau’s newly launched “Don’t Be Left Without a Story – Write Yours in San Diego North” campaign. Visitors can share their favorite San Diego North memories, experiences and photos with other visitors on the Bureau’s website (www.SanDiegoNorth.com/Your-Story) for a chance to win a trip to La Jolla.
The new 2-hour "Backstage Pass" experience at the San Diego Zoo gives visitors star-status VIP treatment with exclusive encounters of exotic animals, a gourmet picnic meal and a private show featuring some of the Zoo's animal stars and their celebrity trainers.
The San Diego North Convention and Visitors Bureau has launched a brand-new website: www.SanDiegoNorth.com. Designed to be more user-friendly for leisure and business travelers, the new site features an easy navigational layout, modifiable search capabilities and a visually appealing design.
The San Diego North Convention & Visitors Bureau has hired hospitality industry veteran, Larry Kaufman, as vice president of sales. Bringing over 24 years of hospitality experience to his new position, Kaufman will be responsible for overseeing the Bureau’s seven-person national sales team based in Carmel Valley.
With its temperate year-round climate, varied terrain and abundance of outdoor activities, San Diego North is the perfect getaway for any season.
