In 1937, Bing Crosby greeted the first guests to the Del Mar Racetrack. The famed Seabiscuit race drew 20,000 fans to the track in 1938. The Del Mar Racetrack established itself early on as a playground to the stars, which attracted such famed celebrities as Ava Gardner, Pat O’Brien, Jimmy Durante, Lucille Ball, Desi Arnaz, Mickey Rooney and many more. The Del Mar Racing Season runs from July 18 to September 5, 2007 (dark Tuesdays).

Post Times
First post daily at 2 p.m. with the following exceptions:
"Four O'Clock Fridays" (July 20 & 27, August 3, & 10 at 4 p.m.; August 17, 24 & 31 at 3:30 p.m.)
Pacific Classic Day, Sunday, August 19 at 1:00 p.m.
Gates open 12 noon on weekdays and 11:30 on weekends.

• Clubhouse daily admission, $8 (seat not included)
• Clubhouse Crossover from Stretch Run, $3
• Clubhouse Reserved Seats, $5 (Mon., Wed., Thur.); $8 (Fri., Sat., Sun.); $12 (Opening Day and Pacific Classic Day)
• Stretch Run Daily Admission (seat not included), $5

Restaurants
All day seating for four is available at the Clubhouse Terrace, Café Del Sol, and Stretch Run Grill:

• Opening Day and Pacific Classic Day, $80 (plus admission)
• Friday/Saturday/Sunday, $60 (plus admission)
• Monday/Wednesday/Thursday, $48 (plus admission)

Camp Del Mar
Camp Del Mar is an exciting day camp program for children 5 -12 years of age being offered during the Del Mar racing season. Professional educators, recreational specialists and trained counselors (one for every twelve children) are always on hand to provide guidance and assistance.

Activities include, but are not limited to, animal themed crafts, air hockey, gymnastics, a tour of the stable area with a chance to meet and pet a real race horse (Mondays), miniature golf (Thursdays), an inflatable jump, video games, Family Fun Days (Saturday & Sunday only) and much more.
