Encinitas
Known as the “Flower Capital of the World”, Encinitas boasts an extensive collection of unique nurseries and gardens. The San Elijo Lagoon, a brackish shallow-water wetland, is home to aquatic insects, small fish and water birds. Situated on 175 acres of lush greens with ocean views, the Encinitas Ranch Golf Course is one of the newest golf courses in coastal San Diego North. There are also excellent restaurants to discover, beaches to explore, interesting shops, galleries, coffeehouses and excellent hotel accommodations, many along the historic Highway 101. Quail Botanical Gardens
Quail Botanical Gardens feature 30 acres displaying unusual plants from all over the world. Located ½ mile eat of Interstate 5, the gardens are open daily, except on some holidays. The gardens also feature a gift shop and nursery, as well as guided tours on certain days.
Encinitas Beaches
Encinitas is home to many fine beaches, including the well-known Swami's Beach, which features large waves and draws surfers. Encinitas also boasts Moonlight Beach, which is perfect for visitors with children due to the heavy lifeguard presence and plenty of sand in the summer. More remote beaches are Beacon's and Stone Steps, which are both accessed by a long trail or stairs from the steep cliff.

Visitors enjoy unique shopping opportunities at the Lumberyard in Encinitas, which features furniture boutiques, specialty food shops, eateries, and a popular wine bar.
Encinitas Ranch Golf Course
Encinitas Ranch Golf Course is a public, par 72 golf course with four sets of tees accommodating all levels of golfers. Green fees range from $24 for weekday twilight time to $73 for weekend/holidays (non-resident).
